There isn’t a soup recipe around that I won’t try, especially once fall hits. I won't say no to store-bought soup, either. Every bowl of creamy bisque or brothy noodles is like a flavor blanket I wrap myself in until it's 80° again.
I've found the accouterments are as important as the soup itself. Lately, I'm in the habit of making a batch of homemade croutons every weekend. The toasty bits add great texture and flavor to any of my soups. And of course, no bowl of chili is complete without a generous dollop of sour cream.
