Tillamook Has 2 New Limited-Time Flavors, and I Can't Get Enough

The air may be getting a bit chillier as summer is winding down, but that certainly doesn't mean ice cream season has to end. Tillamook just released some limited-edition flavors, proving just that—and I can't get enough of them.

Living in Oregon, there is no other ice cream brand I turn to besides Tillamook, which is based right in this state. Tillamook ice cream is so delicious because it uses high-quality ingredients, including extra cream and high-quality milk, resulting in a rich and dense texture. Plus, the array of flavors is impressive.

When I'm visiting the creamery, I always opt for a double scoop: Caramel Swirl and Marionberry Pie ice creams. But Tillamook's latest limited-edition flavors have me turning to something new for an at-home treat.

What Are Tillamook's New Ice Cream Flavors?

Tillamook Espresso Chip Ice Cream is a new addition to the lineup. It features an espresso ice cream base with a rich, bold flavor. I'm a dark roast coffee lover, and my typical coffee shop order is two shots over ice with a splash of cream. This ice cream flavor tastes just like that, but with chocolate flecks and a touch of crunch, thanks to chocolate-covered espresso beans. It's a coffee-lover's dream.

I've enjoyed plenty of this flavor out of my favorite ice cream bowl, but I'm going to have to try an affogato recipe with it soon.

The stark opposite of Espresso Chip, Sugar Cookie actually made its limited-edition debut last year, and it was brought back again. The sugar cookie dough base is like an enhanced version of classic vanilla. It's the perfect backdrop for chewy sugar cookie dough pieces throughout, along with crackly pieces of sugar for textural contrast.

This flavor is fantastic on its own, but it'll be even better paired with fall baked goods, such as apple crisp, or holiday treats like chocolate bundt cake. For a quick dessert fix, a scoop sounds perfect with a banana drizzled with chocolate or caramel sauce.

Espresso Chip and Sugar Cookie are limited-edition offerings, available only for a short period, typically from fall to winter, depending on product availability. It's hard to know how long they will stick around, but for now, you can find them at many nationwide retailers, such as Target.
