M&M's Just Revealed a Brand-New Flavor, and I Tried It Immediately

Whenever I’m asked if I prefer plain or peanut M&M's, I hesitate. I love the simplicity of the plain M&M's, that crunchy hard candy shell paired with a milk chocolate inside. It's a classic for a reason, am I right? I want to like the peanut M&M's more, but I feel like I’m always left wanting something. That's why I'd choose plain M&M's over peanut M&M's most days—although that might change soon.

When I found out M&M's added a brand-new flavor to its permanent collection, I almost jumped for joy. This will finally fix my overall “meh” opinion on peanut M&M's.

What’s the New M&M’s Flavor?

The brand-new flavor is Honey Roasted Peanut. It has a roasted, honey-glazed peanut inside the classic milk chocolate and candy shell. Essentially, it’s a peanut M&M, elevated with the addition of honey roasting. 

This is such a candy win. You get all the roasty toasty peanut goodness with a sweet honey crunch, too. It’s exactly what I've been missing from peanut M&M's this whole time: added oomph that creates a more complete flavor profile.

I think honey-roasted peanuts are one of the best snacks on this planet, and I can't believe it took this long for M&M's to coat them in chocolate! I personally cannot wait to stock up on this flavor. I plan to pick up about four bags, some for snacking and some to use in my monster cookies and/or kitchen sink cookies.

What Do Honey Roasted Peanut M&M’s Taste Like?

The M&M's deliver on every aspect of the "honey roasted" flavor. They're noticeably sweeter than regular peanut M&Ms, and have just the right amount of added toasty flavor and crunch. Plus, the colors are perfect for this time of year because they remind me of fall foliage: golden brown, dark brown, and yellow. They're the bees' knees (sorry, I had to!), and I think they'll be on regular rotation in my candy dish.
