Kraft Is Releasing a Brand-New Mac & Cheese, and My Inner Child Can’t Wait To Try It

As a '90s kid, Kraft Mac & Cheese is synonymous with my childhood. The perfectly forkable pasta with orange cheese reminds me of dinners at my grandma’s house. If I close my eyes, I can still see Cheesasaurus Rex on the blue box.

Lately, it seems like Kraft is trying to recapture millennial interest with limited-edition flavors. When Kraft launched Everything Bagel Mac & Cheese in 2024, it said the brand was currently testing more than 60 potential new flavors.

Well, at least one of those flavors must've passed the test, because Kraft is now making Pizza Mac & Cheese.

  • The Product: This is the latest limited-edition flavor for Kraft Mac & Cheese.
  • Why I Love It Already: Kraft is thinking outside the (blue) box! Every spoonful is like eating mac and cheese and pizza.

Why I'm Excited About Pizza Mac & Cheese

This flavor pays homage to everyone’s favorite Friday night dinner. With some garlic and a pinch of Italian seasoning, Kraft made a mashup of two iconic childhood meals.

Not only does this new drop sound delicious, but it's also right in time for the back-to-school crunch, when getting dinner on the table is more stressful than ever. This is the season where pantry staples and quick dinners come in handy!

While my inner child could have eaten a giant bowl of pizza mac and nothing else, my adult self envisions this new Kraft flavor pairing well with a grilled chicken breast and a side salad. What can I say? I'm a grown-up now.

Where To Find This Limited-Edition Flavor

In a press release, Kraft says its Pizza Mac & Cheese will be in stores "throughout the back-to-school season." I expect that means the flavor is only going to be around while supplies last, so move quickly if you want a taste.

Look for this limited-edition flavor anywhere you can find regular Kraft mac. Both Target and Walmart have Kraft's other flavors, Jalapeño and Ranch, so that's where I'll check first!
