When I host, the spotlight’s on the main dish. Despite having years of experience cooking and entertaining, I inevitably end up remembering at the very last minute that I still need something my guests can nibble on when they arrive.
Because it's always so last-minute, I end up throwing together chips and salsa, veggies and dip, or, if I'm lucky, a cheese board using whatever I can find in my fridge. This is why I recently made a promise to myself to stock up on good frozen appetizers to pull out at a moment’s notice.
I've had my fair share of duds, but when I heard whispers about Season's Choice Buffalo Cauliflower Bites hitting shelves at Aldi this month, I knew I had to try them. The buzz from Aldi fans on Reddit is that these are “SO GOOD.” I am making a mental note to grab a bag the second it lands in stores ,and you should too.
Aldi Season’s Choice Buffalo Cauliflower Bites
- Price: $3.49 for a 13.5-ounce bag
- Why I Can’t Wait To Try It: Redditors are giving these spicy cauliflower bites high praise. One says, “I eat the whole bag every time. If they’re gone when I go tomorrow I’ll be very very sad.”
I love cauliflower "wings," and am always game to try anything that comes doused in hot sauce. I’ve tried a handful of buffalo cauliflower products over the years, and some were fine, but none ever wowed me. This one has me more optimistic than usual, partly because Aldi has a solid track record in my house.
At $3.49 for a 13.5-ounce bag, you get breaded cauliflower that crisps up in the air fryer in 15 minutes, and a packet of buffalo sauce.

Why I'm Jazzed About Aldi's Buffalo Cauliflower
A great cauliflower bite has the right combination of a crispy exterior texture but tender insides. And from the way Aldi fans are talking, this product nails it. The breaded exterior gives it that coveted crunch, especially when you give it the air fryer treatment—though the oven is fine, too.
I also expect this appetizer to be quite versatile. Sure, they'll be perfect as last-minute nibbles or for a game day get-together with a side of ranch and celery sticks. They'll also make easy work of dinner in a pinch. Buffalo cauliflower tacos with shredded cabbage and lime? Done! Tossed into a grain bowl with rice, black beans, and roasted sweet potatoes? Absolutely. I would even serve them with mac and cheese when I'm craving comfort food, but the adult in me knows we also need a vegetable.
The moment these hit my local Aldi’s freezer, I'm grabbing at least three bags—one to try immediately and two for the freezer, because as a frequent Aldi flyer, I know the best finds tend to sell out. And once they're gone, they're gone.
