Aldi Just Revealed the Price of Its Thanksgiving Items for 2025 (It's $7 Less Than Last Year)

If you've been in a grocery store at all this year, you’ve probably noticed that the cost of everything is going up. Every time I take a trip down the aisles, it feels like I’m spending more than I used to. If you feel the same way, we're not crazy—the data backs us up. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that grocery prices have risen nearly 30% since 2019.

That pinch feels particularly stressful as I start thinking about hosting guests for Thanksgiving. Fortunately, budget-friendly grocer Aldi is coming in clutch with a deal for the holiday dinner. According to a press release, Aldi shoppers can buy everything they need to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 for $40. That’s a $7 decrease from last year—exciting news at a time when most of us need to squeeze as much out of our grocery budgets as possible. 

What You Can Make for Thanksgiving for $40

Even if cash is tight this year, you won’t have to skip out on any of the most iconic Thanksgiving dishes to have a budget-friendly meal. ALDI’s Thanksgiving lineup includes everything you’ll need to prepare a juicy turkey, mac and cheese, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole with those delicious crispy onions, gravy, and rolls. There’s even room in the budget for fresh cranberries to make homemade sauce, plus pumpkin pie with a dollop of whipped cream.

In total, Aldi’s Thanksgiving price drop applies to 21 different ingredients, from those aforementioned crispy onions to boxes of mac and cheese and fresh vegetables like celery, onions, and carrots. If you have a little wiggle room in your budget, you might opt to score a few extra ingredients—perhaps some butter for those rolls, or an orange to add a citrusy punch to your cranberry sauce—but that isn’t strictly necessary. 

Are Aldi’s Thanksgiving Prices A Good Deal?  

In 2025, it’s tough to make any meal, much less a holiday feast, for $4 per person. That makes Aldi pretty appealing as I create my grocery list for this year’s Thanksgiving dinner. When I compared its prices to another major grocery chain, Aldi’s 21-item shopping list cost nearly $13 less! For someone on a tight holiday budget, that’s pretty serious savings. 

When You Can Shop for Thanksgiving at Aldi 

Aldi’s Thanksgiving pricing goes into effect on October 15. Then it's time to stock up on frozen foods and non-perishables early to avoid the chaos of pre-Thanksgiving shopping crowds. The lower prices run through December 24, both in-store and via Aldi’s delivery partners, and nobody’s going to question you if you want to eat turkey until it’s time for the ball to drop on New Year’s Eve.
