I’ve passed the turquoise swirl plates at Dollar Tree countless times, thinking, “Oh, those are cute,” and moving on. That all changed when I saw a side-by-side comparison video on TikTok.
I stopped scrolling. I had no idea those $1.50 pieces were nearly identical to Pottery Barn’s high-end blue Nico Stoneware Reactive Glaze Dinnerware, which costs a staggering $129 for the 12-piece set. My jaw dropped when the TikToker revealed the same luxe look for just $18 at Dollar Tree. That’s a savings of nearly 90%!
Dollar Tree’s Royal Norfolk collection has everything for a Pottery Barn-inspired table. The dinner plates, side plates, bowls, and some matching mugs are all available individually at Dollar Tree for $1.50 each.
Just like their pricier counterparts, these stoneware pieces are also dishwasher-safe, microwave-friendly, and durable enough for everyday use.

Why Dollar Tree’s Royal Norfolk Dinnerware Is Such a Steal
What makes this dupe so incredible isn’t just the price; it’s how perfectly it captures that artisan-made, high-end aesthetic that makes Pottery Barn’s dinnerware so coveted. The turquoise swirl features a sophisticated, glazed finish that brightens up any table, elevates simple weeknight meals, and would even photograph beautifully.
I love how the soft edges and organic shapes give each piece a handcrafted feel. I expect a lot from Dollar Tree, but this still surprised me.
The dinner plates are great for everything, while the side plates are ideal for salads, desserts, and bread. The bowls are just as versatile, working well for everything from the obvious oatmeal and soup to doubling as prep bowls. And as a bonus, Dollar Tree also carries matching mugs, something the Pottery Barn doesn’t even offer.
You can purchase each piece individually to build the exact set you need, making it perfect for individuals, couples, and families of all sizes. For example, a set of 16 pieces, which includes the dinner plate, side plate, bowl, and a mug for four place settings, would cost just $24.
Even with the mug added, it’s still 80% less than Pottery Barn. Overall, they feel special without being precious, and if one breaks, you won’t be devastated (or out a ton of money).
Still, I expect them to hold up well. The stoneware construction felt substantial in my hands, which made me think that even after months of regular use, they’d still look as gorgeous as they did on day one.
At $18 for a 12-piece set or $24 for an even fuller 16-piece set versus Pottery Barn’s $129, this might be the best tableware deal I’ve ever discovered. So if you’ve been dreaming of beautiful dinnerware but couldn’t justify the splurge, you might want to make a trip to Dollar Tree. Your dining table and wallet are in for a real treat!
