I’ve passed the turquoise swirl plates at Dollar Tree countless times, thinking, “Oh, those are cute,” and moving on. That all changed when I saw a side-by-side comparison video on TikTok.

I stopped scrolling. I had no idea those $1.50 pieces were nearly identical to Pottery Barn’s high-end blue Nico Stoneware Reactive Glaze Dinnerware, which costs a staggering $129 for the 12-piece set. My jaw dropped when the TikToker revealed the same luxe look for just $18 at Dollar Tree. That’s a savings of nearly 90%!
