On May 22, Wegmans informed its customers that it was pulling one of its popular canned goods from shelves nationwide. Specifically, 20 oz cans of Hormel Foods Dinty Moore Beef Stew are being recalled for potential wood contamination.
Other grocery store giants that sell Dinty Moore Beef Stew, and may also have the affected item, include:

- Kroger
- Meijer
- BJ’s Wholesale Club
The item is also sold online at Amazon.com.

What to Do With the Recalled Stew
This product is eligible for a refund at the customer service desk in Wegmans stores nationwide. It’s unclear if the other grocery giants listed above have also sold the affected product.
