I recently rediscovered my love for salmon. It’s always been one of my faves, but I’m a bit finicky about how it’s cooked and am not super confident in my ability to get it right.

That’s until I tried Martha Stewart’s easy salmon recipe—it’s been a game changer for me. It’s a baked salmon that calls for just two ingredients (if you don’t count salt and pepper) and it takes under 15 minutes to cook.

Martha Stewart’s Super Easy Baked Salmon

Start by melting butter on a sheet pan in a 475°F oven. It’s as easy as placing the butter (it can be cold out of the fridge) on the sheet pan and popping it into the hot oven. As soon as it’s fully melted, place the salmon skin-side down on the butter. Season it with salt and pepper, and bake. It’s as easy as that!

Why Marthat Stewart’s Bake Salmon Is So So Good

At first bite, I wondered how something this simple could be so perfect in every way. It takes mere minutes, just a few ingredients, and so little effort that it felt like I missed something. But I didn’t—this baked salmon simply can’t be beat for ease and deliciousness.

Baking the salmon on melted butter crisps up the skin, adding an incredible texture. The butter gives the fish a melt-in-your-mouth quality that’s like—well—buttuh.

Simple Tip!

After the salmon is baked, I highly recommend scooping up the browned salt-and-pepper-butter mixture on the sheet pan and drizzling it over the fish. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Ideas for How To Serve This Easy Baked Salmon

  • Toss broccolini, green beans, or other veggie right next to the salmon before sliding it into the oven to make it a one-pan meal.
  • I love this recipe for summer because it has a quick cook time, and salmon pairs nicely with so many types of salads. I’m going to serve it with Creamy Everything Bagel Cucumber Salad, Panzanella Bread Salad, and Cold Pea Salad
  • I had leftover salmon that I reheated on the stovetop the next day. It was as delicious as right out of the oven. You could also flake leftovers on top of a salad to take it up a notch!

This recipe is going to change the way I cook salmon from here on out—hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
