Igloo Recalls Another 130,000 Rolling Coolers for Injury Risk
On May 8, Igloo added three more cooler models to the list of recalled rolling coolers, originally initiated on February 13. Earlier this year, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Igloo had recalled more than one million products due to the tow handle pinching or even amputating consumers’ fingertips.
Since the recall was announced in February, Igloo has received 78 reports of fingertip injuries — including 26 fingertip amputations, bone fractures, or lacerations. This new addition of the recall includes another 130,000 coolers sold across the U.S., plus 20,000 distributed in Canada and 5,900 in Mexico.
The affected product was sold at the following in-store and online stores between January 2019 through January 2025 for between $80 and $140.
