Rachel's journey into the culinary world began during a transformative six-month stint living in Oaxaca, Mexico that deepened her understanding and appreciation of food systems. This experience ignited her passion for melding travel with food, leading her to explore the flavors of almost every continent (Antarctica one day!). Whether it's mastering dishes through local cooking classes, spending hours wandering markets, or immersing herself in the cultural tapestry through taste, Rachel's adventures are a testament to her love of food and exploration.
At home in Vermont, Rachel integrates as many local ingredients into her culinary creations as possible, shares meals with old friends and new (and always celebrates ‘sobremesa’), and finds the coziest corner of a cafe with a book and a cappuccino. Her food obsession extends to her Australian Shepherd, Chowder, aptly named after her coastal New England roots.
