Experience
Meredith Schwartz is a self-taught cook. As a young adult, she worked on farms, planting and harvesting produce, as well as at farmers' markets where she gained a sense of appreciation and understanding of the labor that goes into what we eat. Later, she worked at a 100+ year old fresh pasta shop, catering to locals and restaurant customers. She then went on to work in NYC restaurants to refine her culinary skills. From there, she started cooking for private clients and events.
Now, in addition to recipe development, she writes about cookware, tools and groceries for sites like The Kitchn and Simply Recipes, applying her professional cooking background to the home-cooks' kitchen experience. Additionally, she creates content, such as her Kitchen Tour TikTok video for The Kitchn.
