Lauren Habermehl

Lauren has been a recipe developer, food writer, and photographer since 2017. From helping her mom make chocolate chip cookies to learning the art of making her father's perfect peach pancakes, cooking has always been a passion for Lauren. Growing up, Lauren always thought she'd attend culinary school, but somehow ended up taking a detour working in brand development and marketing. After working with several top food and ingredient manufacturers, she rediscovered her passion for the industry and took the leap to pursue a career in recipe development and food writing.

In addition to her personal blog, Frydae, she has developed content for Taste of Home, Country Sampler Farmhouse Style, Simply Recipes, and a number of globally recognized food brands.

Most beloved kitchen tool: "My most beloved cooking tool is a toss-up between my food scale and my cherry pitter. On one hand, a kitchen scale has improved the quality of my bakes beyond my wildest expectations. On the other hand, I can now eat an entire pound of cherries in about 5 minutes. Sometimes it's the little things in life that bring the greatest joy."
