Georgia Freedman is a writer, editor, and cookbook author based in Oakland, California. She has written for a variety of publications including Food & Wine, The Wall Street Journal, Afar, Martha Stewart Living, Serious Eats, Simply Recipes, and was previously the managing editor of Saveur.
Georgia is the author of the cookbook Cooking South of the Clouds—Recipes and Stories from China’s Yunnan Province (Kyle, 2018), which she researched over the course of several years while living and traveling in China; and the co-author of The Ranch Table (with Magnolia Network star Elizabeth Poett; Magnolia/William Morrow, 2023) and There’s Always Room for Chocolate (Rizzoli, 2016). She also works as an editor for a variety of publications and food- and travel-focused companies and has edited over a dozen cooking and lifestyle books.
