While exploring the Fancy Food Show, an annual trade show organized by the Specialty Food Association (SFA) in New York City, two editors from Simply Recipes made an exciting discovery. After tasting their way through dozens of products, Megan Scott, Senior Editor of Recipes, and Lara Eucalano, Senior Editor of News & Trends, walked away impressed by one particular new-to-the-show find: Natural Blonde Golden Bloody Mary Mix.
Now you may be thinking, "Ah, a fancy Bloody Mary mix at a fancy food show, what's that got to do with me?" I was expecting this product to be available only in exclusive specialty stores, but to my surprise, this editor-approved bottle is also on Amazon. After hearing what these two editors had to say about the Natural Blonde Golden Bloody Mary Mix, I'm on my way to order some right now.
Why Editors Love Natural Blonde Golden Bloody Mary Mix
"I love a Bloody Mary with brunch, but never have them at home because most mixes are salty, acidic, and kind of thick," Lara says. The reason is due to the ingredients. "The ingredients list on store-bought mixes is unnecessarily long. That's confusing to me. Shouldn't it just be tomato juice with seasonings and vinegar or brine?!"
That's where Natural Blonde comes in. "Natural Blonde genuinely tastes homemade and fresh," Megan says, "It's not too salty or acidic or harsh. I am also obsessed with the color, which yields a sunset-hued Bloody Mary." With simple ingredients like spicy pickle juice, white pepper, and yellow tomato puree, which we have to thank for its golden color, "Natural Blonde Bloody Mary mix is highly crushable," she adds.

Lara agrees: "Golden Bloody Mary Mix is legit so good. It has the right amount of seasonings and salt without being overbearing. And I don't have to chase it with a shot of Pepto to calm my acid reflux." Now that's a serious plus if you ask me.
When it comes to how to make a Bloody Mary with Natural Blonde, Megan has a few pro tips to share. "I always add horseradish and black pepper because I like my Bloody Marys to be zesty and spicy. But the most fun feature of any Bloody Mary is the pickle skewer, so I load mine up with dilly beans, pickled beets, pickled okra, and cornichons."
Now, all you need is an expert-approved vodka. Or skip the booze entirely because this mix makes a refreshing, savory mocktail that's just as satisfying. Either way, it's a simple way to elevate your next brunch at home.
