Experience
Alice Levitt is an award-winning writer, critic, and editor with nearly two decades of wide-ranging food experience, including venturing to Xinjiang for cheese and speaking about pizza at a conference in Calabria. Her bylines have appeared in publications including The Spruce Eats, EatingWell, Allrecipes, Vox, The Art of Eating, Atlas Obscura, Reader's Digest, The Boston Globe, Simply Recipes, and Business Insider.
Alice started her professional writing career freelancing for WWE Magazine, but her passion for food quickly overtook wrestling. An internship at EatingWell led to a role at Vermont's alt-weekly newspaper, Seven Days. In 2011, she won the Association of Alternative Newsmedia (AAN) award for best food writing. After seven years of eating across Vermont, Alice moved to Space City to become the dining editor and critic at Houstonia Magazine. In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, she relocated to Virginia to join the team at Northern Virginia Magazine as food editor/critic.
Fun fact: "My license plate used to be "BULGOGI." It's been my favorite dish since I was a kid."
